Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was conceived in Minsk. The father of her Sergey (d. 2019.) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born 5 May 1998 in Minsk Belarus. The 12 WTA singles victories comprise the Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. The doubles play she plays is superb and she has also won Majors at her first major tournaments, the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), each of them together with Elise Mertens. She took home each of in the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian teammate, and completed the Sunshine Double. Only four women's doubles teams achieve this feat. The singles world ranking climbed yet again, reaching its top position on the 20th of January, 2023. That same year she took home the title at Melbourne before she was ranked number one in the world for doubles. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) played her as a coach for the duration of the 2019 season and from 2018 to the end. Dieter Kindlmann coached her briefly from August 2020 to September. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman, has coached her since the year 2020. Her heroes are Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
